12 Lexington breakfast restaurants and coffee shops with hours from their own sites: downtown, North Limestone, Chevy Chase, the Distillery District and south.

Last checked Oct. 16, 2026. Refreshed every three months.

Lexington’s independent coffee shops sit close in: downtown by Thoroughbred Park, North Limestone, East High Street in Chevy Chase and the Distillery District on Manchester Street. Breakfast chains such as First Watch and Wild Eggs are farther out, along Richmond Road, in Hamburg and off Tates Creek and Harrodsburg roads.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Lexington-Fayette, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 16, 2026. We added Doodles, First Watch, Wild Eggs and the second locations of several shops from their own sites. Where a shop’s website does not work, we kept it only if the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department’s records show a 2026 inspection at that address. Starbucks and Dunkin’ have many Lexington stores; use their own store finders. We left out campus dining halls, and Cherry Seed Coffee and Coffee Times, which we could not confirm. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
