Lexington’s outdoor tables cluster downtown around Cheapside and West Short Street and in the Distillery District on Manchester Street. Farther out there are patios at The Summit at Fritz Farm, Lakecrest Circle, Lexington Green, Beaumont and on Harrodsburg Road.

How we made this list. We started from OpenStreetMap records inside Lexington-Fayette, the same data behind our local directory, and kept only places whose own website mentions a patio, rooftop or outdoor seating, checked on Oct. 16, 2026. We added Azur, Cheapside Bar & Grill, Dudley’s on Short, Honeywood, Lost Palm, Palmers Fresh Grill and Wise Bird Cider Co. on the same test. Several places tagged with outdoor seating in our directory data say nothing about it on their own sites, so they are not here yet. Patios are weather dependent; call ahead. The list is alphabetical. Cheapside Bar & Grill. A downtown bar and restaurant on Cheapside with a Southwest dining room, a Victorian pub and a tropical patio.

Doodles. The North Limestone breakfast and lunch restaurant offers patio, indoor dining and takeout.

Dudley’s on Short. A downtown restaurant on West Short Street whose rooftop garden seating is open Wednesday to Sunday from 5 p.m. through October. Valet parking starts at 5 p.m.

Five Guys. The burger chain’s Nicholasville Road restaurant lists outdoor seating on its location page.

Honeywood. A restaurant at The Summit at Fritz Farm whose dining room and patio, weather permitting, take walk-ins and OpenTable reservations. It also offers curbside pickup.

J. Render’s Southern Table & Bar. The Beaumont Southern restaurant and smokehouse has patio seating and hosts live music on the patio.

Lost Palm. A 21-and-up indoor and outdoor rooftop bar on the seventh floor of the Manchester hotel, with tiki cocktails and Latin-inspired share plates. Walk-ins are welcome.

Mama Tequila. The downtown Mexican restaurant and nightclub has three outdoor seating areas.
