State report card
Kentucky rates schools on state tests in reading and math and in science, social studies and writing, English learner progress, school climate and safety and, for high schools, postsecondary readiness and graduation. Each score combines this year’s results with the change from last year, and ratings run, from highest to lowest, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red, according to the Kentucky Department of Education.
Kentucky does not give Opportunity Middle College an overall rating of its own: the state classifies it as a district program (A5), and the 2025-26 accountability file lists ratings only for A1 schools. The state does publish test results for the students tested at the school.
- Grade 11 science: 19% proficient or distinguished
- Grade 11 social studies: 51% proficient or distinguished
- Grade 11 on-demand writing: 70% proficient or distinguished
- Grade 11 editing and mechanics: 56% proficient or distinguished
Those figures are from the state’s 2025-26 results by grade for each testing location.
The full report card, with test results by student group, attendance and teacher data, is on the Kentucky School Report Card, starting from the district’s page. All figures above are from the Kentucky Department of Education’s 2025-26 assessment and accountability datasets, published Oct. 14, 2026.
