Updated Oct. 24: the Breeders’ Cup now says ADA parking is sold out for both days.

The Breeders’ Cup World Championships are at Keeneland, 4201 Versailles Road, on Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026. It is the fourth time Keeneland has hosted the championships, after 2015, 2020 and 2022. The two days carry 14 Grade 1 races, Keeneland says.

Everything is sold in advance. The Breeders’ Cup says no tickets and no parking passes are sold on site, so plan how you will get there before you leave home.

Tickets

Tickets are sold only in advance, through breederscup.com/tickets and a SeatGeek account. “No tickets will be sold on-site,” Keeneland said when sales opened in April. Prices then started at:

Ticket Friday Saturday Both days
Trackside general admission $85 $159 $244
Clubhouse general admission $212 $477 $689
Grandstand reserved seat $265 $477 $742
Climate-controlled reserved table seat $186 $371 $557

Boxes and dining packages cost more, up to $2,465 a seat for two days of Clubhouse hospitality. Keeneland said prices include tax and fees. We could not confirm on Oct. 19 which tickets are still available; the ticket page shows what is left.

  • Children: under 2 get in free on an adult’s lap. General admission is free for children 12 and under with a paid adult general admission ticket. A child who needs a reserved seat needs a reserved seat ticket.
  • Getting in: have your digital ticket and parking pass ready on your phone.

Parking at Keeneland: The Hill

All parking must be bought in advance, and none is sold on race days, the Breeders’ Cup says.

  • The Hill is grass parking on site. Free shuttles run between The Hill and the drop-off outside the admission gates, and run for up to 90 minutes after the last race each day.
  • Price: $55 Friday, $85 Saturday, $140 for both days. One digital pass per vehicle.
  • Accessible parking: on site, with a prepaid official parking pass plus a valid ADA hangtag or a state ADA license plate, both displayed. The Breeders’ Cup says ADA parking is sold out for both days; passes already bought were mailed in early October. Questions go to Breeders’ Cup Ticketing at 859-514-9428 or tickets@breederscup.com.

Shuttles and Park and Ride

Blue Grass Airport Park and Ride. Park at the airport and take a free shuttle to Keeneland, about five to seven minutes. The first shuttle leaves at 9:15 a.m. Friday and 8:45 a.m. Saturday, and return shuttles run until up to 90 minutes after the last race. You may not walk from the airport lot to the track. Parking is $40 Friday, $60 Saturday or $100 for both days, bought in advance.

Downtown shuttle. Round trips between downtown Lexington and Keeneland, about 20 minutes each way. Shuttles leave from West Short Street near North Upper Street, starting at 9 a.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday, and return until up to 90 minutes after the last race. You need a Breeders’ Cup ticket and a shuttle pass for each rider: $20 Friday, $40 Saturday or $60 for both days, with no on-site sales. You find your own parking downtown; see getting around Lexington for LexPark’s downtown garages.

Rideshare. Uber, Lyft and taxis all use a dedicated rideshare lot reached through Gate 1, at Versailles Road and Man o’ War Boulevard.

Traffic and road closures

As of Oct. 24, neither the Lexington Police Department nor the city had published a 2026 Breeders’ Cup traffic plan that we could find. In 2022, the last time Keeneland hosted, police said Versailles Road would carry about double a normal Keeneland race day’s traffic. If you are not going, avoid Versailles Road near Keeneland on both mornings and in the late afternoon. Drivers heading to Versailles, about 15 miles west, use the same road.

We will add any closures here when they are announced. Current lane closures are on our road construction and closures page.

What you can and cannot bring

From the admission policy:

  • Allowed: cellphones, cameras without detachable lenses of 6 inches or more, binoculars, purses and baby bags no larger than 13 inches by 9 inches by 17 inches (subject to search), strollers carrying a child, seat cushions smaller than 15 inches square without metal arms or backs, and folding umbrellas.
  • Banned: full-face Halloween masks and masks of any kind unless medically necessary, backpacks and drawstring packs, blankets, alcohol, cannabis products, outside food and drinks, outside chairs and balloons.
  • Animals: service animals as defined by the ADA are allowed. Emotional support animals are not.

Anything banned must go back to your car or be thrown away. Keeneland reserves the right to search everyone.

Paying: Keeneland’s public dining rooms, The Keeneland Shop and roaming drink vendors are cashless this year and take cards and phone payments. Cash still works at betting windows, concession stands and bars, the Breeders’ Cup says.

Dress: the Breeders’ Cup lists three dress codes by area: smart casual, business casual and business formal. Your ticket’s area sets which applies.
